In this blog I collect my contributions to the e-Course 'Developing digital skills in your classroom'. This is my learning diary of the first module: What are digital skills and why do we need them?
Module 1 (what are digital skills and why do we need them?) was divided into 6 parts.
1.1 What are digital skills?
The most important skill is, in my opion, being critical when using the internet. I agree with Ollie on the managing information skill. There is an overload of information in the world wide web. You have to oversee the things you need. Maybe there will be more important skills in the future we are now not aware of. When you have confidence in yourself you will get better in every skill you want to. I think you also required some sort of self-reflection.
1.2 The future of work.
The presentation gives a good picture of the future.
There will be more flexibility expected of employees this has nothing to do with digital skills. In my opion it is an positive development. The labor market is a little bit crusted nowadays it is time for movement and innovation. If not; stagnation means decline.
1.3 Jobs of the future.
I put 3 jobs on the list which will be more important as they are now: online security, recover agent (for all your broken stuff) and e-Guide (so you never get lost on the Web). I also choose 3 jobs that already ar on the list and vote for them: Web security specialist, Domotic engineers and online teacher.
1.4 accessing future jobs
Most memorable remark: 'A smile goes a long way!'
I didn't have an online interview before. Our school don't do them either. Although this is an important topic I never thought about it. Now I will so I can share this whit my students. They will be prepared for there first online interview.
1.5 Future thinking
This one keeps me thinking. What an inspiring vid! I love the principles that he called: the challenge of being resilience and remaining positive. As a teacher I will lead by example which is best for my students
1.6 Module 1 quiz
I got 80% so this first module is done!
Note to self: it is best if I do this module by module, so next week I will start and finish module 2
