Just before the summer (when we knew for sure that we're on a 1:1 situation) I asked students of they would like to be one. Yes!!! How can we be one? uh....I don't know! We're going to sort it out! This chat will be a great resource!
Q1 Do you have digital leaders in your school? if so, how many and what age?
A1 We do not have digital leaders in our school but love to have them so tonight will be: listening and asking.
I see different names for Digital Leaders: what about iHelps, iCoach, iTeam, iGenius, digitechs, iLeaders and so on....

Martin is working with his DL's on creating guides, working through new apps, designing badges etc. At Laura's school, DL's are trained to support teachers and children in their classroom, they are there to help and troubleshoot!
Great tip from Catherine: they picked children who needed a 'lift'. Gerard is also investigate who he can set up an digital leaders team. He would like them to general investigate the use of apps and general edtech.
Q2 What role and responsibilities do your digital leaders have?
A2 It depends on what students and teachers can except, are the willing to get advise and help from (other) students?
At Vivian's school DL's helps students set up their iPads, solve problems with iPad and make Clips to support students. And the support teachers and parents in working with the iPad.
Hamish's students are there for peer support/assembly leads/digital signage/e-council....
At Simon's school DL's are supporting staff with daily routines, running WebLab (??), helping with online safety issues, create films and teaching classes.
Q3 How do your Digital Leaders collaborate with the rest of your school and your community?
A3 I would like a moment during the week/day when we can come together and exchange stuff a moment when we can settle appointments!
At Susan's school there is an open lunch session which has grown, the main focus is on interest and the leadership opportunities have grown from there.
Matthew shared a link to his iBook: Bringing digital competence to live.
At Vivian's school the DL's have an iMessage group and everybody know's who is a DL she had the experience that this is faster and more efficient then 1 specific moment during the week. At Lewis's school the use mail which is also faster then a meeting. Look at this great non-digital hotspot in the corridor's of Hamish his school!
#ADEChat A3. It might be a bit old school but this week they’ve been getting creative in the corridors…to compliment the digital signage... pic.twitter.com/nOhlqcsLCa

Q4 Have your digital leaders collaborated on a project with another school?
A4 Collaboration will be great so when we form a team we would love to collaborate.
There is a huge [dream big] attitude in this #ADEchat for global collaboration! I will connect with one of the participants!
Q5 How could you use Apple Teacher materials to support your digital leaders?
A5 hmmm, we use iPad in a 1:1 situation but we also use office365 instead of pages/numbers/keynote, so my answer would be: not! Moreover, it's in English right?
This question raise another request: can there be an 'Apple Teacher' especially for Digital Leaders? With similar kind of content but also with other aspects like e-safety, social media and digital working processes.
Q6 Would your Digital Leaders be interested in an Apple Digital Leader event? What would they like to do?
A6 Some cool new stuff with also room for collaboration and presentations with real audience!
With a great [Thank you!] to Claire and Laura another #adechat went by! But here is a padlet filled with ideas and the storify of the whole chat!
